SALEM–  It was not a good game for the Glassboro Bulldogs as they suffer their first loss of the season. The Salem Rams crush the Bulldogs 44-0 continuing their win steak by extending it to four. Also this was the Ram’s fourth game scoring 40 plus points.

The Bulldogs are coming off an impressive 3-0 start, off their bye week they could not stop Salem. The Bulldogs defense averaged 16 points before their game against Salem. The Bulldogs allowed 23 points at half time then nearly the same result happen in the second half.

Everything seem to go wrong for Glassboro as they were shut out for the first time since September of last year. For the first time this year The Bulldogs’ offense could not generate more yards than their opponent. Only five passing yards and a total of 58 yards opposed to Salem’s 353 yards.

The Bulldogs look to bounce back as they go back on the road to face the Audubon Green Waves. The Green Waves are also coming off a brutal outing against Gateway. The team is 1-4 as the Bulldogs look to take advantage and go 4-1. The game takes place on Saturday, October 13 at 11 am.

From NJ.com

Why should you spend your Friday Night watching High School Football?

There is a lot of reasons why you should watch. Here are the reasons:

  • The number one big reason is because there is an opportunity your town football team can be playing at MetLife Stadium.
  • Next reason is looking for the future. The next big thing in Sports can be in a town near you! Recruitment for big name college players are everywhere. You can experience a future professional football player.
  • Show some school/town spirit. NFL running back Corey Clement was part of the 2018 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles Roster. Glassboro High School and Rowan University has briefly praise Clement’s success.
  • Your Athletic Program. Your Athletic Program is very significant for the community. Helps young athletes grow, teens grow, and even the parents to grow.
  • Watching and Rooting for Kids to Achieve their dream.  The most important thing is continue to root for kids trying to live out their dream. Football may be a dangerous sport for some, but for lots of kids, their love for the game is worth the support.

Preview to Glassboro @ Salem (10/06)

The 3-0 undefeated Glassboro Bulldogs will head to Salem to face the 3-1 Rams. The Bulldogs are coming off a bye week. The Salem Rams are coming off an impressive 53-0 win against the Overbrook Rams. The last time the Bulldogs played was on September 21st, defeating the Schalick Cougars 25-7.

The Bulldogs will play three out of four away games this October. Although they are 1-0 on the road so far, first year Head Coach Tim Hagerty looks to continue their scoring barrage this season, averaging 28 points per game while their defense is just giving up just 16 points per game.

It will be a tough task however as the Salem Rams have been playing the Los Angeles Rams as of late. After putting up a donut in the first game, the Rams’ offense was rejuvenated enough to put up a total of 164 points in their last three games. It will be interesting to see the type of game this will turn out to be as both teams have play well as of late. Winner of this game will take over sole possession of 2nd place in the division.
